Own idea shoot two;
I decided to do this shoot as a representation of the life that is created through water. The fact that people are created and maintained by water one simple thing which can create such a complicated thing. I feel as though my images represent life and happiness well. I decided upon a clear umbrella as it still allowed me to see my models however kept them dry from the rain what was falling around them this to me shows how even through water's positivity it's still feared and unwanted in many ways. I used a young couple as I felt this represented "loves young dream". I made my images black and white as I felt this made the eye focus on the emotions of the people rather than the background noise. To take my images I positioned my models under the umbrella in a somewhat natural manner which showed them 'united' underneath. It was a well lit day therefore I used a fast shutter speed, relatively low ISO and a medium aperture. To edit my pictures I simply applied the black and white filters and cropped them to the size and shape that I wanted.

Development - Flore Gardner
To develop my original edits I decided to use the style of Flore Gardner's 'rain' from her photo-embroidery series. I feel like these images convey a similar message to the original edits however in a more creative manner. I used similar images to the original shoot as I felt like this created a steady link between the two shoots. I made the images black and white to fit in with the artists edits, this also made the embroidery stand more against the image. These images did not require much editing as they where straight forward portraits. I simply applied the black and white filter then printed them off on to a thick paper, this is to ensure the image isn't ruined when embroidered I used Blue so that it represented water, I sewed in vertical lines as to me this represents rain flow.
